Notre Dame of Dallas Schools
Thank you Eiseman Jewels for your support for Notre Dame School, our students and families!
For over 60 years, Notre Dame School educates students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With 142 students attending our school program and 43 adults in the STAR Adult Program, Notre Dame School enrolls students from more than 80 zip codes across North Texas.
Our students range in age from 6 to 22. Our students are intellectually or developmentally disabled, including Down syndrome, autism and a variety of other disabilities.
The school is divided into programs as opposed to grade levels:
Academics Notre Dame School provides academic instruction as well as vocational training to ensure that upon graduating, each student can reach their fullest potential in the community.
Classroom ratios are small with 10 students and 2 teachers per class.
Job Skills/Vocational Training Unique to Notre Dame School, our Upper School students intern 4-12 hours weekly at job sites across Dallas. Examples of our 32 different job sites include museums, retirement communities, restaurants, outdoor centers, and animal services.
Families Our families seek Notre Dame School because we deliver individualized curriculum, smaller class sizes and robust social opportunities. Our students actively participate in after-school activities and sports such as pickleball and basketball; and students sign up for clubs such as Art Club, Pep Squad and Happy Flour Baking Club. Our Upper School students plan and attend prom each spring.
History Notre Dame School was founded in 1963 by School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) to honor and educate the unique gifts in each child. Since inception, SSND asks families for half the cost of tuition and our community and donors support the other half. Now sponsored by SSND and board governed, Notre Dame School strives to keep the cost of this specialized education equitable for all families. Therefore, 61 years later, posted tuition remains half of the actual cost. Notre Dame School is a Catholic school that is open to and welcomes all families and faiths.
Support Even with reduced tuition, many families qualify for additional financial assistance. In addition to raising half the cost of tuition, Notre Dame School provides additional financial assistance for all families who qualify. Families with a child with special needs face a lifetime of financial costs which may include therapists, doctors, medications and housing assistance.
MISSION STATEMENT: Notre Dame School, recognizing that each person is created in the image of God, educates students with developmental disabilities and facilitates their integration into society.

Klyde Warren Park

Since opening in 2012, Klyde Warren Park has transformed downtown Dallas, turning 5.4 acres of land above the Woodall Rodgers Freeway into a vibrant green space that bridges Uptown and the Dallas Arts District. Beyond being a beloved gathering spot for relaxation and community events, the Park has had a significant economic impact on the surrounding area.
Klyde Warren Park features lush lawns, botanical gardens, a dog park, a children’s playground, and dining options, making it a destination for visitors of all ages. Its innovative design—built over a freeway—provides a much-needed green space for the city, offering a peaceful escape from urban life. Visitors can enjoy the Park’s free amenities or take part in a wide range of events, from yoga classes and concerts to family-friendly activities.
The Park’s extensive programming, more than 1,300 free events annually, is one of its key attractions. These include fitness classes, cultural performances, movie nights and educational workshops. This commitment to offering accessible, diverse activities helps the Park serve as a vibrant, inclusive space for everyone in the community. Whether you’re looking for entertainment or a place to unwind, Klyde Warren Park delivers.
In addition to its cultural contributions, Klyde Warren Park has had a measurable impact on the Dallas economy. Since its creation, it has attracted more than $6.5 billion in new real estate development within a five-block radius, including luxury apartments, office buildings and hotels. Property values in the area have risen significantly, benefiting businesses and residents alike. The Park also attracts visitors year-round, boosting foot traffic for nearby restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. This influx of people has helped revitalize the downtown area, making it a more desirable place to live, work and visit.
One of the Park’s most important roles is as a nonprofit organization. Operated by the Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation, Klyde Warren Park is dedicated to maintaining its green space and providing free, accessible programming to the public. The Park relies heavily on the generosity of individual donors, foundations and corporate sponsors to sustain its operations. Contributions help cover the cost of maintenance, security, landscaping and programming, ensuring that the Park remains a well-maintained and welcoming destination for all.
Major fundraising events like Party in the Park play a key role in keeping Klyde Warren Park running, but individual donations are also crucial. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps the Park continue to be a vibrant place where people can gather, relax and enjoy year-round activities. By supporting the Park, donors make a lasting impact on the city, helping to preserve a public space that enhances both the quality of life and the economic vitality of Dallas.
Klyde Warren Park is a powerful example of how public areas can drive both social and economic change. By connecting people, creating economic opportunities and improving the quality of life in the city, the Park embodies the spirit of Dallas and enhances its urban landscape.
